LG Cargo Clearances (LGCC) provides a full range of customs entry services.
Informal entries typically cover shipments for consumption that are valued at $2,500 or less. Certain commodities do not qualify for informal entry clearance, including some commodities subject to FDA, USDA, etc. regulations.
Formal entries cover about 95% of all imports into the U.S., and consist of goods being imported for consumption directly into the commerce of the U.S., and can be commercial or personal in nature.
Warehouse entries enable importers to defer the payment of duties by placing the merchandise into a bonded warehouse facility or free trade zone. Depending on the type and class of bonded warehouse, importers can keep merchandise duty-free for upwards of 5 years, including manipulation and repacking of the goods.
